Portfolio
Each photoshoot begins with an idea—an inspiration. Below, I share with you pictures from six shoots so that you may appreciate them as coherent sets rather than a random collection of images. Some shoots, include multiple outfits. For each session, we began with 1) inspiration which dictated 2) type of poses; 3) wardrobe; 4) hair & makeup; 5) location and 6) mood. We’ll plan your shoot based on this criteria.
By understanding the art of posing, I can tailor your photos shoot to your inspiration: celebrating graduation, anniversary, business or simply celebrating you!
Senior Pictures
Alyssa’s inspiration for her senior pictures was centered on wardrobe: the traditional gown and a fashion look. She had never posed before but she was excellent at following my direction.
Personal Brand
Being a defense attorney can be stressful. A set of pictures in stylish attire with GQ-style poses is a great way to convey a cool and sophisticated demeanor. I suggested the federal courthouse as a fitting location.
Achievement
Wearing the crown and band as Miss City of Fresno is quite special. Thus, a special location was in order. I made arrangements with the wonderful people at The Kearney Mansion and Ashley brought various dresses and gowns from which we chose her looks.
Themes
Themed shoots are so fun! The wardrobe tends to be unlike everyday attire, and often, the theme demands a unique location. Such was the case with this steampunk shoot which was shot for a magazine editorial. I obtain permission to shoot at a wrecking yard and booked two assistants. My hair and makeup artist did a fantastic job. I really enjoyed directing these poses and I color graded with a retro look in mind.
