Whenever I stood in front of the camera, I had no idea what to do. Should I smile or not? Look at the lens or away? And what to do with my hands?! I am a confident person but when it came to pictures, I felt clumsy, awkward…until…I studied posing.
I attended The Art Students League of New York and Grand Central Academy where we worked with models in every class. I supplemented those studies with courses by nationally known photographers Sue Bryce, Lindsay Adler and Micheal Sasser. Now, I enjoy posing and it feels great to appreciate photos of me.
My mission statement: to create expressive and meaningful memories one pose at a time.
Now, you don’t have to take classes as I did. Instead, you can simply mirror the poses that I design for you according to your body shape and what we aim to convey through your pictures. It’s an easy game of mirroring. In fact, through this “game” is how I create my magazine editorials and museum exhibits. I’ll share that I directed every picture in this website by simply having each person mirror the poses. You can do this too!
I look forward to your inspiration for your photos. As your photographer, I will be excited to explore how we may create pictures that will become part of your personal and family history.
Let’s get started!
